This Iphone/Ipad app / android app provides the same type of test questions that appear on the prestigious Mensa IQ test. The graphics are done well but they are nothing too fancy. The interface is functional, logical, easy to use, and straight forward. The test is multiple choice (as most IQ tests are) and has some pretty challenging questions in it. The amount of questions varies from completing graphical sequences, analogies, and solving the pattern inside a mathematical grid.
I like how this IQ Test mimics the Mensa test. It can be used as a tool to prepare for the actual Mensa test. Inside the app, it provides a small 5 minute training consisting of 5 questions. The training explains the answers to the 5 questions and is very helpful. When you decide to take the actual test inside the app, you have the option to take a short, medium, or long test, comprised of 20, 40, and 60 minutes respectively.
I don’t like how there are no answer explanations for the full tests, like the training test provided. That was pretty disappointing. Overall, it’s a great app though for those who are looking to practice for the Mensa test.
Mensa is the largest and oldest high IQ society in the world. It is a non-profit organization open to people who score at the 98th percentile (about a 132) or higher on a standardized, supervised IQ or other approved intelligence test.
